TOUR PLAN

Your safari adventure will kick off at 8 AM with a pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. Once everyone is settled, you’ll embark on a journey to the legendary Serengeti National Park. The 240-kilometer drive will take approximately six hours. Serengeti, which translates to “endless plains” in the local African dialect, offers a mesmerizing view as the vast grasslands extend to the horizon, where they seem to touch the sky. Spanning an impressive 14,763 square kilometers, this vast expanse challenges our understanding of distance. The Serengeti is home to the iconic “Big 5” (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, and leopard) and also offers the delightful sight of one of Africa’s most graceful animals, the impala. As the largest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa, the Serengeti’s ecosystem is unparalleled. The central Seronera area, renowned for its dense wildlife, is a highlight of the park. This region, fed by the Seronera River, attracts an abundance of animals, making it one of the richest habitats in the Serengeti. Keep an eye out for the numerous lion prides that thrive here, as well as the majestic Serengeti “Kopjes” – massive granite boulders rising from the sea of grass, providing refuge for a diverse array of flora and fauna. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed during your day-long game drive. The exciting day will conclude with a hearty dinner and a restful night at your accommodation.
You have the option to enjoy a leisurely breakfast before setting off for game drives around 9:00 AM with a packed lunch, or you can opt for an early start at 6:00 AM for a morning game drive. Afterward, you’ll return to your accommodation for breakfast before heading towards the northern Serengeti with a packed lunch in tow. Today’s adventure will take you through the central Serengeti, moving toward the Kogatende region in the north. As you journey through the park, you’ll experience an array of wildlife, with the landscape gradually shifting from open grasslands to a more rugged and hilly terrain. The northern Serengeti is home to diverse resident wildlife, including zebras, topis, gazelles, buffaloes, leopards, and lions. During your day-long drive, you’ll pause for a picnic lunch, taking in the sights and sounds of the wilderness. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to spend a few hours by the Mara River. The day concludes with a hearty dinner and a restful night’s sleep at your accommodation.

You can choose to have a leisurely breakfast and start your game drives around 9:00 AM with a packed lunch, or opt for an early departure at 6:00 AM for a morning game drive. Afterward, return to your accommodation for breakfast and some relaxation before heading to the Central Serengeti with your packed lunch. The four-hour journey south from the Mara River valley will provide opportunities for mild enroute game viewing. As you drive through the hill country, the Lobo area, and woodlands, you’ll gradually transition back into the Seronera region’s terrain.

The Seronera area, located in the heart of the Serengeti, is one of the park’s richest wildlife habitats. The Seronera River serves as a vital water source, attracting a diverse range of wildlife representative of most Serengeti species. As you enter the Seronera region, you’ll notice the landscape shifting from hilly terrain to vast grasslands. This area is known for its thriving lion prides, whose interactions and survival make for exceptional game viewing year-round. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed during the day-long drive. Your eventful day will conclude with a hearty dinner and a restful night at your accommodation.

After breakfast, you’ll embark on a morning game drive through Serengeti National Park. Following the game drive, you’ll set off for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a picnic lunch in hand. The highlight of the day will be your visit to the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest collapsed volcanic crater, spanning fourteen kilometers of breathtaking natural beauty. Encircled by a ring of extinct volcanoes, the crater floor is home to around 30,000 animals, thriving around its scattered watering holes. Your eventful day will conclude with a hearty dinner and a peaceful night’s rest at your accommodation.

On the final day of your safari, you’ll start early with a quick breakfast before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater around 6:30 AM. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera, spanning approximately 260 square kilometers with a depth of over 2,000 feet. A 5-hour game drive on the crater floor promises an exciting array of wildlife encounters. Be sure to keep your camera ready to capture sights of African elephants, buffaloes, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions.

After enjoying a picnic lunch by the picturesque Hippo Pool, you’ll begin your steep ascent to the crater rim. The final leg of your journey includes a 4-hour drive back to Arusha. You’ll arrive by 6:00 PM and be dropped off at your preferred location. With unforgettable experiences and cherished memories, it’s time to bid farewell to your safari team.
